Fic: Steve's Great Escape (as planned by Gracie Williams) (H5O, Danny/Steve, Danny/Rachel, PG-13)

Author's Notes: Written for ciaimpala who bought me in the help_the_south fandom auction on LiveJournal. The prompt was 'Post 1.24, where Grace hears about Steve being in jail and insists on coming back to Hawaii. She figures out how to order a plane ticket and gets herself there, along with a crayon drawing of an escape plan for Steve that she makes Danny bring to Steve when he visits him in jail. When Steve gets out, Grace plans an epic welcome home party. I definitely want Steve/Danny slash please, whether it's an established relationship already, or they get together throughout the story.' She also mentioned loving A Beautiful Day so I decided to make this a sequel to that which makes this my second third person POV fic. For the record, it is not this easy for a child to fly solo across the country. Grace is a smart girl and I can see her doing exactly what I wrote but I still don't think she'd get all the way to Hawai'i without someone alerting Rachel, and possibly Danny. Also, I'm a huge fan of Steve/Danny but I decided to keep this as true to canon as possible. Please hold mouse over highlighted text for translation.
Sequel/Series: A Beautiful Day
Summary: Grace has had enough of the adults in her life leaving, whether or not they want to, and decides to take matters into her own hands when Steve gets arrested.
Warnings: partner betrayal, canon character deaths
Spoilers: Every episode aired but mostly Loa Aloha, Ua Hiki Mai Kapalena Pau and Oia'i'o with a brief mention of Malama Ka Aina, E Malama, Hana 'a'a Makehewa and the pilot.

Need assistance

I usually try to keep my real life separate from my fandom life but right now I really need help from fandom in general.

I love how fandom comes together to help those in need, and not just those who have been affected by some kind of natural disaster. Back in February or March, someone started posting about needing assistance in avoiding losing her house to foreclosure and the response was mind-boggling.

I thought I'd try the same. I don't need assistance to keep my house, I'm on housing assistance (just turned in the decrease in income form) so once that gets updated I won't have to worry about that. However, I do have to worry about paying the rest of June's bills as well as July's rent, in case Housing doesn't update in time.

I'll discuss my offer(s) in a comment to this post because right now I just want to focus on what I need paid.

My remaining bills are:
cable/internet: $161.79 (I'm going to downgrade so starting in July it will be less)
electric: $90
car registration: $55
car inspection: $39.75
driver's license renewal: $25
rent: $338
Total due: $709.54

*whimpers* If I hadn't had to pay almost $400 in May for Vic's dance I wouldn't be in this much of a hole.

So, my suggestion is for people to offer things for others to bid on. Just like all the fandom auctions out there.
